Frankfurt is an incredibly exciting city for street photography! The variety, the combination of old and modern, the diversity of people and last but not least the green oases make this place a city of pictures and impressions. We are of course on the road a lot for you and everything is shot digitally today.
What an experience it is, however, with an analog camera - really good ones are available for little money at the dealer or for the risk-takers also on Ebay - to go quite old fashioned on the stalk and to photograph in black and white!
Today we would like to point out an incredibly exciting project near Genoa, Italy. The old legendary film factory Ferrania, founded in 1917, is once again producing 35mm b&w films with a small team of film maniacs and former employees! Ferrania is an icon in the classic film business. Fellini shot "La dolce Vita" on such a film, Rossellini and many other greats also relied on the outstanding qualities of the P30. Isn't it wonderful that we too once again have the opportunity to capture images on the same film stock that has carried such masterpieces into the cinematic world?
For those interested and those who want to be part of the first batch, we suggest you take a look at <link http: www.filmferrania.it _blank>Http://www.filmferrania.it
There's a lot of interesting information on facebook and on YouTube too!
Have fun photographing!
