The Frankfurt Oktoberfest 2023 came to an end again this year with a grand finale early pint, and this time the tradition was more alive than ever. Nearly 60,000 people visited the marquee in front of Deutsche Bank Park during the nearly five weeks in which a total of 26 events took place.
At the Final-Frühschoppen, Frankfurt Oktoberfest ambassador Stefan Mross and the Frankfurt Oktoberfest Band heated up the atmosphere once again. In addition, the final of the Maßkrugstemmens took place, in which about 50 finalists and finalists delivered an exciting competition.
In the context of a fundraising campaign in favor of the Reiner Meutsch Foundation Fly & Help, the organizers will initially transfer 50,000 euros to "RTL - Wir helfen Kindern". There, the sum will be doubled as needed to support the construction of a second "Frankfurt Oktoberfest School" to be completed next year.
Even the opening of this year's Frankfurt Oktoberfest set the standard for the coming events. Frankfurt's mayor Mike Josef tapped the first keg of specially brewed Binding Festbier, while Stefan Mross and main act Mickie Krause made the tent shake. In the following 25 hearty Gaudi events, artists such as pop star Heino, Oli. P, Jimmie Wilson, the Weather Girls, Roy hammer and the Pralinées as well as Markus Becker on.
"Besides popular were the Fashion Nights, which were already sold out in the apron", reports Festwirtpartner Kai man. Especially in the last two Oktoberfest weeks, ticket sales at the box office recorded a significant increase.
Also Patrick Hausmann, who organized the festival together with his brother Dennis and festival host partner Kai Mann, was satisfied: "We have received mostly positive feedback from our guests. In particular, the new menu with vegan dishes was very well received."
Furthermore, they noted that the audience this year was much more international than in previous years, and there were more English-speaking guests.
Maßkrugstemmen:For the final in Maßkrugstemmen, where Stefan Mross acted as referee, 25 women and just as many men had qualified during the duration of the Oktoberfest. The winners of the final were delighted to receive a voucher for a skiing vacation in Obertauern, Austria, for an entire family, including hotel stay and ski pass worth 2,000 euros, as well as two Condor flights to the Dominican Republic and seven days of all-inclusive vacation in a 5-star "Villa Resort Hotel " in the Maldives.
Celebrating for a good cause: As last year, the Frankfurt Oktoberfest was linked to a major fundraising campaign. For every ticket sold, one euro went to the non-profit Reiner Meutsch Foundation Fly & Help, which is committed to education and upbringing of children and young people worldwide. Through Reiner Meutsch and his foundation, 700 schools have already been built. The money is earmarked for the construction of a school in the Dominican Republic. The first "Frankfurt Oktoberfest School" is already in the planning stage and is scheduled for completion in the middle of next year. The costs for the school amount to 250,000 euros.
