Frankfurt Osthafen Festival on 20 and 21 July

10.07.2024 | 10:45 Clock | Favorite places
Frankfurt Osthafen Festival on 20 and 21 July

On the weekend of 20 and 21 July, Frankfurt's Osthafen will once again be transformed into a colorful hustle and bustle of harbor attractions, live music, art and culture, sports and a varied children's program - both on land and on the water. The festival offers something for everyone: during the day, harbor tours open up new perspectives on the harbor and nautical fans get their money's worth on boat tours. Both those who want to try their hand at water sports and those who long for a deck chair on the beach are in just the right place at the Osthafen Festival. Younger guests won't miss out either: the boats of the harbor pirates, kids' areas, children's disco and children's theater provide variety.

The evenings are all about music and partying. A successful mix of over 40 acts, including well-known top acts as well as local stars and newcomers, will ensure a great atmosphere on the stages and at the DJ booths - with free admission. Among others, Oli P, Loona, Lou Bega, Megaloh and MC Rene, as well as the Frankfurt band Gastone will be performing in a unique harbor atmosphere.

The Osthafen Festival is hosted by the city's port operator, HFM Managementgesellschaft für Hafen und Markt. HFM attaches particular importance to presenting the port in all its diversity. Once again, the historic railroad will offer a shuttle service between the festival site and the Iron Pier. Other harbor residents will open their doors or provide sound for the audience on their own stages.

The event area stretches along the North Basin in Osthafen 1 and the parallel Lindleystraße from Osthafenplatz to the East Garage. In summer 2022, over 250,000 Frankfurters and people from the region attended, which is why public transport is recommended. The next chance to visit the Osthafen Festival will not be until the end of July 2026, as it is held every two years. The festival site is very well connected to public transport and can be reached via the Schwedlerstraße stop or Ostbahnhof station, for example.

The complete festival program with all highlights and information can be found on the event website: www.osthafen-festival.de
