This seems to be a very successful debut: Already there are no tickets left for KPOP.FLEX, the K-Pop mega-festival in Europe! Although all major events in the coming months are still subject to a certain degree of uncertainty, this has not stopped fans from quickly securing tickets for the festival, which is scheduled to take place on May 14 at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt: "Sold out in less than eight weeks - with the first mega-festival for Korean pop music in Europe, we are fulfilling a huge wish for many K-pop fans in Germany and Europe," says Peter Kötting, managing director of organizer PK Events, delighted at the huge interest in the event. But it is also no wonder, after all, for KPOP.FLEX seven of the most famous and successful K-pop bands from South Korea have announced themselves in Frankfurt.
To the joy of the sold-out premiere, Peter Kötting mixes confidence: "Together with our partners in South Korea and England, we are now thinking about how we can offer something to the many fans who would also like to see their stars live in Frankfurt and to whom we can now no longer offer tickets."
Kötting continued, "We had promised to bring seven acts to Frankfurt. Today at noon we announced number six and seven with EXO's Kai, one of the world-renowned stars of the K-pop scene, and the four-piece boy group AB6ix - shortly thereafter the last of the nearly 44,000 tickets for May 14 were sold out." It was already known that acts Mamamoo, ENHYPEN, Monsta X, (G)I-DLE and NCT Dream were also coming to Frankfurt. The organizer will continue to report news about the festival on its homepage www.kpopflex.com and on its Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok channels.
While the "K wave" has been rolling in Asia and America for some time, the music festival is the first major one in Europe - and also opens the music season in Frankfurt's Deutsche Bank Park. Patrik Meyer, Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Park: "In recent weeks, we have had an enormous number of inquiries from Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main area, because many people who come from Asia and have known K-Pop for a long time live here. In addition, music and culture fans will travel to Frankfurt from all over Europe. The KPOP.FLEX premiere marks the start of a wonderful concert summer - more than 600,000 tickets have already been sold for the performances by Ed Sheeran and Coldplay alone, as well as around 20 other events. It is already becoming apparent that 2022 will be exceptional for our stadium." Peter Kötting concludes, "We are pursuing a five-year plan to make K-Pop even more popular in Europe - the start in Frankfurt am Main makes us very confident in this regard."
