The well-known Hessian TV chef Mirko Reeh, who has been running his successful cooking school in Frankfurt am Main for over 25 years, announces the relocation of his spice manufactory from Wildau/Brandenburg to Frankfurt am Main. From June 2024, the diverse spice blends and pure spices will be produced here under the "Gewürz-Guru" label.
In his cooking school, Mirko Reeh has been inspiring people for decades to try out new flavor combinations and cook simple, delicious dishes themselves. "Besides fresh ingredients, the salt in the soup is the spices," explains Reeh. To pass on his passion for spices, he founded a spice factory in Wildau in 2021. What began with 30 spice blends has developed into an impressive portfolio of 250 blends. These include classic varieties such as roasting and barbecue spices as well as unusual creations such as Oriental BBQ or Avocado Dream.
The move to Frankfurt has brought numerous advantages. "I have now created the capacity for production in my cooking world here. The distances are simply shorter," says Reeh. In the manufactory, all creations are mixed fresh by hand, which not only extends the shelf life of the products, but also avoids overproduction. "This means we are very flexible and can quickly implement small to large customer requests. Of course, we can also create individual private labels for customers," he adds.
One prominent customer who is already benefiting from the advantages of the manufactory is Lars Obendorfer, founder and franchisor of over 30 Best Worscht in Town stores. "Our spice blends for the retail trade are exclusively filled and prepared by Gewürz-Guru. This means that people who do not live in the catchment area of a Best Worscht in Town store can experience the >Worscht experience< at home. Quality, flavor and enjoyment convince our customers in the long term. Mirko Reeh and I work closely together on the further development of new spice blends," reports Obendorfer.
Sustainability is also a focus at Gewürz-Guru. The packaging is made from environmentally friendly rice paper or reusable glass jars, which minimizes the ecological footprint of the products.
