Princely Garden Festival Wolfsgarten Castle opens its doors under the theme 'The Great Garden School'

The historic Wolfsgarten Castle in Langen near Frankfurt am Main, surrounded by its extensive parks and majestic trees, will host the renowned Princely Garden Festival from September 15 to 17, 2023. This extraordinary palace, which is open to the public only a few days a year, promises autumnal blossoms and late summer atmosphere in a unique setting.

The Princely Garden Festival at Wolfsgarten Palace is one of Germany's most prestigious garden exhibitions and one of only three venues, which also include Fasanerie Palace near Fulda and Hofgut Kranichstein in Darmstadt. This year the event has a special theme "The Great Garden School", which offers visitors the opportunity not only to admire special plants and lovingly designed show gardens of the exhibitors, but also to gain valuable knowledge in the field of botany and receive practical tips on garden care.

The program of the garden festival offers workshops and lectures by respected garden experts such as Petra Pelz and Cassian Schmidt. In addition to these offerings, visitors can expect a diverse supporting program with hands-on activities, live music and an exquisite selection of culinary delights.

In addition, the Princely Garden Festival presents top-class cultural events in cooperation with the Offenbach district, supported by the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain and the Kultursommer Südhessen. The cultural stage at the fountain will host "Garden Talks" with well-known personalities, including Mechthild Harting, Stefan Rebenich and Markus Bennemann. Music lovers can look forward to performances by star cellists Johann Ludwig and Ulrich Horn, as well as Dana Barak and Uriah Tutter. On Sunday, the Offenbach District Youth Orchestra will offer jazz concerts in a variety of styles.

The Princely Garden Festival also impresses with more than 170 exhibitors presenting special plants and products. From hand-picked nurseries with a wide selection of plants to high-end fashion and art exhibits, there is something for everyone to discover. Visitors can look forward to exclusive offerings from Baumschule Jäger, Staudengärtnerei Kirschenlohr, Gärtnerei Dieter Haas and many others.

Culinary delights also abound, from oriental falafel to original Italian pizza from the stone oven, truffle products and fine spices.
