Motsi Mabuse rings in the advance sale
From 13. September to 08 October it's that time again: the popular Frankfurt Oktoberfest opens its doors in the marquee at the Commerzbank Arena - this year, due to steadily increasing demand, even one day longer than in previous years. At the 9th Frankfurt Oktoberfest, the organisers are of course relying on tried and tested features such as the popular festival beer from Binding, regular guests such as NDW star Markus or Mickie Krause, the early morning pint with childcare in front of the marquee, which is often booked up very quickly, and also the culinary offering, which was extended last year to include delicious beef roulades, which went down very well with the guests.
But of course there are also some new additions. Among them, of course, is the new Oktoberfest ambassador. With the Hessian by choice Motsi Mabuse, best known from the jury of the RTL show LET`S DANCE, the organizers have not only chosen a very pretty ambassador, but also a real popular figure. The full-blooded dancer is a self-confessed Oktoberfest fan, although she has not yet visited the festival in Frankfurt - but that will of course change in 2017, because after all, Motsi Mabuse is also responsible as an ambassador for the tapping of the barrel at the opening on September 13 - a task she is already very much looking forward to. "I always love celebrating at the Munich Oktoberfest," she explains, "so it's a great pleasure for me to be able to take on the very special role of ambassador at the Frankfurt Oktoberfest. And as a sportswoman, I am already very excited about the disciplines of barrel tapping and stemming Maßkrug, which are new to me," laughs Motsi Mabuse.
Also at the stage program the visitors can look forward to some new faces: The Weather Girls revive the 80s together with Jimmie Wilson, Anna Maria Zimmermann will perform at the Schlager Wiesn and with the Kalbachers a band from the region is represented again. By the way, the festival program will be opened for the first time by mood cannon Peter Wackel.
24 events, three and a half weeks of partying in Eddy Hausmann's large marquee, which seats 2,500 - the Frankfurt Oktoberfest offers all this in its ninth year.
