Since Monday, April 8, Skyline Soccer has been open to citizens of the city of Frankfurt on the roof terrace of Skyline Plaza. The Host City (HC) invited people to an exciting match with a view of the skyline to mark the end of the project. On Friday, April 12, the motto was "Host City Frankfurt versus EURO 2024".
After the opening by Lord Mayor Mike Josef, the exciting match between HC Frankfurt and EURO 2024 got underway. The Host City team included Host City Ambassador Alex Meier, Louise Hansen and Renate Lingor from GRLS WNTD SOCCER, youth coach Ervin Skela, Alon Meyer, President of Maccabi Germany, Cherno Berry from BK West United FC, and Stephan von Ploetz from Sportjugend.
The opposing team includes Markus Stenger, Managing Director of EURO 2024, and other EURO 2024 employees.
After the match, spectators were able to kick a ball against individual players from the team or take pictures with the team.
From Friday, 14 June, the Soccer Court will be open to the public. June, the Soccer Court will be set up for four weeks in the Fan Zone in front of the imposing skyscraper backdrop on the banks of the River Main.
