Fit and active again after COVID-19

Experts will answer questions for interested parties at a post-COVID scientific symposium on 31. October in Frankfurt Waldstadion (Deutsche Bank Park).

The uncertainty is great: is COVID-19 a harmless infection or a serious disease? How much time does it take to recover from it? Do I have to wait longer than after a cold before I can fully exert myself again. Am I just tired or is this already Long-COVID?

Answers to such questions will be provided by experts at a panel discussion taking place as part of a scientific symposium on the topic of Post-COVID syndrome at Deutsche Bank Park (Waldstadion) in Frankfurt. Organized the event Prof. Andreas Zeiher of the University Hospital Frankfurt.

With them is sports cardiologist Prof. Martin Halle from Munich. He advises recreational athletes with a very mild course to at least three days break after the symptoms subside. After its experience vaccinated can load themselves in the on the average one week earlier again than unvaccinated.

Also at achievement sportsmen a COVID illness does not pass sometimes without trace. Questions about this are answered by Prof. Winfried Banzer, scientific director of the medical department of Eintracht Frankfurt and member of the health commission of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and health officer of the State Sports Confederation of Hesse. After a moderate to severe infection, he recommends competitive athletes to resume training only under medical supervision.

The talk will be moderated by FAZ journalist Sascha Zoske.
