Top-Tipp: Apfelweinlokale in Frankfurt & Rhein-Main

Das perfekte Ambiente für ein gutes Stöffche

Was wäre Frankfurt ohne seine Apfelweinlokale.

Frankfurter Apfelwein Botschaft
To the wheel
Ebbelwoi unser
Homburger Hof
Zum Buchscheer
Cider-Solzer
Der Buchwald
Bornheimer Ratskeller
Atschel
Frau Rauscher
Daheim im Lorsbacher Thal

Frankfurter Apfelwein Botschaft

In addition to the cozy dining room, this traditional Frankfurt restaurant in Rödelheim also has a beautiful apple wine garden, which invites you to linger in the summer. Shady trees ensure that it is pleasant here even when it is hotter. Ciders, draft beer and bottled beers such as the popular Wäldches Kirsche + Bier provide additional refreshment. Small and larger appetites can also be satisfied here with salads, tarte flambée, Schneegestöber or Frankfurter Schnitzel and other regional dishes.

To the wheel

The traditional apple wine pub in Frankfurt - Seckbach pleases with its large summer garden. About 350 guests can be entertained in the idyllic ambience under old chestnut trees. Of course, here primarily apple wine comes into the glasses. But various types of beer, such as Schlösser Alt or Allgäuer Büble Edelbräu and Henninger Radler, can also be ordered. And for the little ones there is a separate children's corner.

Ebbelwoi unser

Home in the Brückenviertel for just under three years, Ebbelwoi unser has quickly gained cult status. This is due to the warm atmosphere, the delicious "Stöffche" and the good food. Our recommendation: the tender Frankfurter Schnitzel, which tastes particularly delicious here. A special highlight is always when the landlord can be persuaded to sing a serenade to his guests at the weekend. Simply great!

You can find out more HERE in our indulgence tips.

Homburger Hof

In the Homburger Hof in the district of Eckenheim, the Bembelkultur has been written very large for more than 100 years. A special highlight at the Homburger Hof is the Bembelkegelbahn. Its four lanes are adorned by real Frankfurt legends such as Liesl Christ or Rosemarie Nitribitt. An hour of bowling including 6er-Bembel gives it here for 19 € per lane.

What else makes the Homburger Hof a top tip, you can learn HERE in our pleasure tips.

Zum Buchscheer

That is truly not a matter of course for a Frankfurt cider pub: the self-pressed cider, also known as "Holly" with homemade syrup made from elderflowers, is served here with a lot of charm and friendliness. But you can also enjoy the home-brewed beer in a cosy ambience. And the menu offers a good selection of Frankfurt cuisine, salads and various meat dishes for both small and large appetites.

Cider-Solzer

This traditional family business scores with "Alt Bornheimer Gemütlichkeit". On the plate, the Frankfurter Krüstchenschnitzel, served with fried egg on toasted farmhouse bread, is a delight. But you should also try other delicacies such as boiled ribs, boiled beef with green sauce or Solzer`s potato dumpling - filled with homemade liver sausage. And of course a Solzer`s Schoppe!

Der Buchwald

In the cozy Apfelweingaststätte in Bornheim, three different apple wines from the Kelterei Stier from Maintal are served fresh from the barrel. That's not reason enough for you to stop in? Then just let yourself be convinced by regional delicacies such as grilled prime rib with apple sauerkraut, or by the chef's own creations. It's worth it!

Bornheimer Ratskeller

The Bornheimer Ratskeller, which reopened in 2018, is open all year round. The open kitchen allows guests to look over the shoulder of chef Mario Furlanello and his team as they prepare the delicious dishes. But it's especially nice in summer: the beer garden in the picturesque inner courtyard beckons you outside - with a beautiful view of Bornheim. It's a great place to stay a little longer with a glass of cider, a refreshing beer and exquisite delicacies from the kitchen.

The goose season starts here again on 11 November 2023. The whole goose for 4 people can then be pre-ordered. The 3-course menu costs €60 per person, without starter and dessert €44.

Important information: Orders must be placed approx. 10 days in advance. Orders are processed bindingly via an online system. More information can be found HERE

Atschel

The "Elster" features a convivial atmosphere and a good selection of cider, beer and other spirits. A must for meat lovers is the Frankfurter Schlachtplatte. A little lighter, but also damn tasty, are the Frankfurt sausage salad, the roast pork in beer broth or the marinated Schäufelchen. For more than six people, advance reservations are advisable.

Frau Rauscher

The Frau Rauscher from de Klappergass, die hot e Beul am Ei. und richtig gute Apfelwein in der Wirtschaft direkt neben dem bekannten Brunnen. Warm cuisine is available daily until 22:30. Frau Rauschers Grüne Soße (Green Sauce) or Frau Rauschers Kartoffelkloß (Potato Dumplings) are just two of the dishes that can be washed down with cider from the barrel. The Frankfurter Schnitzel is even available here in two variations. In the case of the Rauscher Schnitzel, snow flurries and coleslaw are served on the side in addition to the green sauce. The full portion of Frankfurt on one plate - the only thing missing is the Handkäs.

Daheim im Lorsbacher Thal

The special thing about this quaint inn is that you can choose the right droplet from what is probably the largest cider list in the world. But that's not all: when preparing the dishes, the emphasis is on fresh ingredients and the avoidance of flavour enhancers and industrially prepared ingredients - and you can taste it! Particularly tasty: the Frankfurter Schnitzel with its own crispy breading. With other delicacies like the Lorsbacher Tafelspitz, every bite is a delight.

Be sure to check out the newest addition to the family, "Daheim in der Affentorschänke."
