Elbistan Döner Kebaphaus

If you're looking for a really tasty kebab in Höchst, Salman Türkoglu Elbistan Döner Kebabhaus is absolutely the place to go. The meat is well seasoned and the ingredients all taste very fresh. For those who like it nice and spicy, there is fiery addition to the kebab here. The Dürüm Döner and the pleasantly lush Döner plate are also a real recommendation.

Melis

For many, the best kebab in town is at Melis in Preungesheim. Whether the classic kebab sandwich in different sizes (children's kebab, normal, jumbo), the delicious Dürüm kebab, the falafel sandwich or the Pizza Sucuk with spicy garlic sausage - here it tastes just really good. Also the grilled dishes like the Adana skewer plate or the Beyti kebab plate can convince in terms of taste and price-performance ratio.

Doner & Pizza Land

The trip to Mörfelder Landstraße is really worth it for all kebab lovers. The meat is well seasoned, the delicious bread is homemade and the sauces are also very tasty. There are also some offers for vegetarians here. The very friendly service and the fact that the pizza is also really tasty makes this kebab shop a real Frankfurt tip!

Deniz Döner Kebap

At the Musterschule in Frankfurt's Nordend you will find this at first rather inconspicuous looking kebab shop. Here the friendliness of the owner and the really good taste convince. In addition to the classic kebab - highly recommended with a little hot spice powder - there are also extra offers for students such as the Pomm-Döner-Box. The Lahmacun is also really delicious here. Try it out for yourself!

Kilimanjaro

A pleasantly understated ambience, friendly service and delicious food - that's what you get at Kilimanjaro Restaurant. Highly recommended are the Sambussa Africa as a starter. The filled dumplings are pleasantly spicy and crispy deep-fried. As main course we can recommend the Kara Mara. These are strips of beef with onions and peppers, served deliciously sizzling in a clay pot. Mmmmmhh!

Mommona African Restaurant

Traditional food from East Africa is available in Sachsenhausen. Here, in addition to various meat dishes, there is also a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as the vegan pumpkin soup or the alicha (with carrots, potatoes, onions and peppers). Tasting platters with different dishes are available with and without meat for one or two people.

African Queen Restaurant

Near the Frankfurt Trade Fair there is Eritrean cuisine to be enjoyed in a lovingly decorated restaurant. A nice communal experience is eating the large platter, which can be ordered in sizes for up to 6 people. Very tasty is the Zigni-Beiray (shredded beef in hot sauce with a side salad), which can be washed down with an African beer. All dishes here can also be ordered to go.

In the heart of Africa

You quickly feel at home in this atmospherically decorated restaurant near the train station. The special charm that the decor and also the service exude is positively underlined by the quality of the food. Especially nice: The mixed plates can be arranged by yourself, so that you can try different dishes of your own choice. Our tip: Be sure to make a reservation, otherwise it will be hard to get a seat.

Ambassel

In a pleasant ambience, the specialties from Ethiopia served here are convincing and can be enjoyed with a view of the Main riverbank. The menu offers you among other things the mixed appetizer plate "Ambassel", vegetarian dishes or main courses like the delicious Yebeg Tibs, a stew made of the finest lamb. Well seasoned and served very nicely and courteously.

Savanna Restaurant

Small but mighty: that's true of African restaurant Savanna. When it gets crowded in the evening in the small, cozy guest room, then you should have no fear of contact. The extremely nice service and the delicious food from Eritrea make sure that you never feel cramped here, but simply comfortable. Our tip: Order the mixed platter, which is available for up to six people. It's not only delicious, but also promotes sociability!

Bodega el Amigo

Small but nice: Bodega el Amigo in Bornheim offers a great selection of delicious tapas and tasty main dishes in a charming ambience. An eye-catcher, which also pleases the palate, are the fried chorizo slices, which are served flambéed with brandy. The sea bass roasted on the lava grill or the Paella Valenciana Mixta with whole prawns, squid rings, mussels and chicken are also a delight.

Alhambra

As a family-run business, this Moorish-Spanish tapas bar places great value on being close to its guests. This is then also noticeable in the friendly atmosphere and the friendly service. A sophisticated cuisine with a changing weekly menu and a large selection of tapas spoil the palates and ensure that here really everyone goes home happy and satisfied. In addition to the restaurant, an extensive catering program is also offered.

Important info: No card payment is possible, only cash or Paypal

Casa Pintor

With tapas, flamenco sounds and wine, you really feel like you're in Spain here, even though you're actually sitting in Frankfurt's Nordend. The restaurant, which also hosts concerts or exhibitions from time to time, convinces with a good selection of tapas from meatballs in tomato sauce to spicy chorizo frito to olives or prawns in garlic sauce. Great wine and a cozy atmosphere additionally contribute to a successful Spanish evening.

Centro Cultural Gallego

At Centro Gallego, Spanish joie de vivre is enjoyed at its purest. From the sangria, to the sauces and soups, to the pan-fried paella - everything here is lovingly homemade and fresh. Particularly recommended are Pulpo a la Gallega, the Croquetas, the Bacalao variations - and of course the Paella, which is available by advance order from two people.

Super Bro`s

This whiz kid of a pizzeria wows with its moist dough, baked in a 500-degree Stefano Ferrara oven after extensive fermentation. The result literally melts in your mouth. This taste experience is further intensified by the good ingredients of the topping. The mozzarella alone, which is used here, gives the pizzas a very special taste. Delicious!

Da Cimino

In the oldest pizzeria in Frankfurt not only the extremely friendly service inspires, but also the crispy baked wood-fired pizzas. These are prepared according to old family recipes. Extremely delicious are the versions with ruccola and Parma ham or the Quattro Formaggi. The Pizza Cimino with shrimps or the vegetarian Pizza Milan with fresh vegetables are also absolutely recommendable! Definitely try!

Dick & Doof - The Original

For the many regulars it is clear: at Dick & Doof there is the best pizza in Bornheim. Some even say it's the best in all of Frankfurt. The proof comes in classics like Quattro Stagioni or the "Dick & Doof" with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh mushrooms, arugula and Parmesan shavings more than convincingly. Since 2018, pizza lovers in Sachsenhausen can also convince themselves of this. Because "Dick & Doof - Das Original" has opened a second pizzeria directly on Schweizer Straße, between Museumsufer and Schweizer Platz.

Terranova

At Terranova in the North End, the pizzas are beautifully crisp and topped with exquisite ingredients. The pizza with pepperoni sausage is wonderfully spicy. The Frutti di Mare with fresh seafood is also a highlight - a real eye-catcher and pure treat! And Antonella's pizza with fennel salami, buffalo mozzarella and fresh cherry tomatoes is also to die for!

Argana

If you are looking for delicious dishes from Morocco in the Hanau area, you can't go past this restaurant. In addition to common classics such as baked chicken with cous cous in a traditional clay pot, more varied versions are also on the menu here. And for those who like to try different specialties, the open buffet offered here every Saturday is recommended.

Tajinerie Darmstadt

The authentically furnished restaurant makes a trip to Hanau absolutely recommendable for lovers of Moroccan cuisine. Tajines, cous cous, antipasti or soups such as the extremely delicious vegetable soup provide quite a few taste explosions here, which can be rounded off perfectly with a mint tea and sweet pastries. The courteous and very friendly service also underlines the feel-good factor of the Tajinerie.

Picnic City

Small but mighty - that sums it up at the "Picnic Café" in the City! Snacks, tapas, tajine and more are on the menu at this small downtown restaurant. The lovely interior and delicacies such as homemade lemonade, Moroccan mint tea, tajine and extremely delicious hummus make a visit here really worthwhile. For those who like it meatless, the vegetarian tajine with potatoes, onions, carrots, zucchini, peppers & olives can be recommended.

Tatie

In addition to a variety of tajines, this eatery at Frankfurt's main train station also offers delicious pinchitos (grilled plates) and sandwiches. In addition, there are changing daily specials, whereby the Tatie Couscous on Friday is particularly recommended. For those who like it sweet, the Msemen, Moroccan pancake with cream cheese and honey is highly recommended.

Mogador

In the Gallusviertel, you'll find this restaurant named after the port city of Mogador on Morocco's Atlantic coast. Especially the fish is a poem here. But the "Agadir" tajine with chicken or the "pil pil" prawns in garlic olive oil with cherry tomatoes and coriander are also absolutely recommendable! And if you are in the mood for something hearty, you can order the delicious "Mediterranean spare ribs" or the spicy spicy burger. There really is something for everyone here!

EatDoori

Authentic street food from India with a modern twist is served here in a pleasant urban industrial atmosphere. A good selection of curries, salads, tandori and side dishes actually offer just the right thing for every taste. We recommend the Singh's Wings (chicken wings marinated in honey and ginger and sautéed with spring onions) and the Ginger Chilli Prawns, which get a special kick from the marinade. But even those who like vegetarian food will get their money's worth at eatDoori.

In addition to the restaurant in the Nordend, there are also two other eatDoori branches in Frankfurt: one at Kaiserstraße 55 and one at Foodtopia in MyZeil (4th floor.

]. OG).

Bombay Palace

No Indian restaurant has existed in Frankfurt for so long. The Chicken Bombay is the specialty of the house, which was chosen in 2016 in the program "Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal" as the best Indian restaurant in Frankfurt. The sauce of the Chicken Bombay dish is particularly creamy and convinces with the intensity and balance of flavours. An indispensable accompaniment to all dishes is definitely the home-baked bread. It is fluffy, soft and aromatic. Vegetarians can also look forward to a wide selection of Indian specialties.

Mera Masala

The Tandoori Restaurant aims to offer its guests a feast for the senses, achieved through the use of various spices, but also through the ambience and subtle music. For those who like it a little spicier, the Murg Tikka Mera Masala (tender juicy pieces of chicken fillet in a cream sauce with tomatoes, honey and butter) is recommended. But also the Palek Paneer (Indian cheese in spinach) or the lamb dishes can convince as well as the very friendly service. And the mango lassi is not to be missed.

Akmal Sweets & Fast Food Center

You can get a good selection of vegetarian and meat dishes at the station district. The samosa plate is perfect for small appetites, tastes great and is unbeatable in price. The lamb curry is pleasantly spicy and really tasty. However, if you like it cozy, you are wrong here, because the snack bar offers only standing tables to eat the food.

Namaste India

You should definitely try the tandoori specialties here. Whether Chicken Tikka (chicken pieces, grilled on a skewer after 24 hours of marinade) or Chicken Pahadi Kabab (chicken marinated and grilled in the Tandoor), here the quality of the meat as well as the vegetables and spices are convincing. This is also evident in lamb dishes such as Palak Gosht (tender pieces of lamb roasted with onions and tomatoes, cooked with leaf spinach in an aromatic mixture of spices). Finally, it may be something sweet like the delicious Mango Kulfi!

Saravanaa Bhavan

This place specializes in the pure vegetarian cuisine of South India. Highly recommended are for example the Uthappams, pancakes made of rice and lentils, which are offered in different variations. But also the naan prepared in a clay pot or the vegetable pulao (cooked basmati rice with mixed vegetables and mild Indian spices) will spoil your palate. A really big choice, from soft to spicy and from a small snack to a filling meal!

Köylü Döner

In Sachsenhausen, right on the party mile in Alt-Sachs, one of the best kebabs in town awaits you. The shop scores with tender meat from own production, nice service and extremely tasty sauces, which you can dose yourself. So you can decide for yourself how spicy, juicy or garlic-heavy your kebab should taste. This is especially advantageous if you won't go home alone ;-)

Andalucia

When the prawns sizzle in hot garlic oil or the paella sizzles in the pan, your mouth quickly waters. Octopus prepared Galician style, mussels in spicy tomato sauce or the Iberico pork tenderloin with potatoes are just a few reasons why this classic of Spanish cuisine has been so popular for many years. Therefore, you should also better reserve a table beforehand.

Black Box Burger

You can actually find burgers everywhere in the city. Burgers that stand out from the crowd are available in Niederrad. At Blackbox Burger you get first-class burger variations served by professional gastronome Gürhan Temesel. The former traditional snack bar in Melibocusstraße 33 is already a real eye-catcher with its black tiles. But Black Box Burger is not only something for the eye. As soon as you bite into the juicy meat, which is sourced from butchers in the region, you can taste the high quality that is offered here - true to the motto: If it tastes good, it's healthy! Add to that the fresh ingredients for the toppings, the delicious secret sauces, crispy fries and of course the nice service. This is pure burger pleasure! Well, is your mouth watering already?

Bareburger

In Sachsenhausen, the makers of Bareburger want to bring a piece of New York to Frankfurt. The furnishings, made primarily of recycled materials, already provide the appropriate urban chic. But burgers like the Smoke Stack with pastrami and red slaw are also worthy of the Big Apple.

Dream Cow

On Burger. sorry, Berger Street you'll find many a burger restaurant. But one bite into creations like "M Bison his Father" and you know why this place has a particularly good reputation. The DryAging refined meat and the homemade sauces from different countries provide for always surprising burger pleasure.

Our tip: In addition to burgers, there is also poutine here in three different variants. Definitely try.

Jamy`s Burger

At Jamy, the freshly processed Angus beef in particular leaves a good impression. The burgers taste juicy and flavorful. If you'd like to do a little something for your complexion, order the Red Head with chili and chunks of bell pepper. The spiciness can be tamed with a homemade lemon mint soda.

Our tip: Also try the Sour Bacon Fries with homemade sour cream, scallions and, of course, smoked bacon. Mmmmmmmhh.

Five Guys

The cult burger from the USA also conquered Frankfurt in winter 2017. From four basics, with different toppings such as grilled champions or fiery Jalapeños almost infinite individual variations can be created. Versatile and delicious - Well done, Guys!

Tip for the brave: How about a peanut butter shake with bacon? It's really only available here!

Hans in Luck

When the flavors of beef, hay-milk cheese and homemade sauces mingle in a cozy setting among birch logs, it tastes simply fabulous. Special highlight for friends of the spicier taste: All beef burgers are optionally available with pepper crust.

7 Bello

Whether banker or student - for many it is THE cult pizzeria in the Bahnhofsviertel. In addition to the changing daily specials, it is the extremely good pizza that tames many hungry stomachs here every noon.Yes, it is here especially at lunchtime like times extremely crowded. But that is somehow part of it. The service is always friendly, even when the small shop is bursting at the seams. Our tip: If you like it a little spicier, you should have your pizza topped with pepperoni sausage. Mmmmmhhh!
