Pâtisserie ice cream of the extra class

Ice creations from the Pâtisserie Anna Reckmann

The days are getting longer, the temperatures higher and slowly but surely the much longed-for summer feeling sets in with many. The prospect of relaxing hours in the sun, cocktails in the beach club or culinary delights under the open sky let winter blues and spring fatigue finally evaporate.

And of course what should not be missing in any summer experience? Right, a refreshing ice cream!
Classics such as chocolate, vanilla, stracciatella or strawberry are real perennial favourites, but new, unusual flavour combinations are the trend.

Those who like to treat their palate with creative, high-quality ice cream creations, we recommend a trip to Frankfurt's picturesque Westend, to the Pâtisserie Anna Reckmann. In the beautiful shop in Reuterweg 69, not only noble pralines are created, but also delicious handmade ice creams from the finest ingredients. Whether for after work as a sweet end to a working day or simply in between: The cool compositions are delicious to melt away and definitely have addictive potential.

From vegan to creamy

Both milk ice cream varieties and vegan sorbets are offered, made from the pulp of fully ripe fruits of the best quality. High-quality ingredients such as Piedmont hazelnuts and fine cocoa beans are also used in the milk ice creations.
There are currently ten tempting varieties to choose from: Sorrel & White Chocolate, Apricot Rosemary, Vanilla Olive Oil, Sesame Caramel, Salted Caramel, Florentine, Raspberry Sage, Piedmont Hazelnut, Chocolate Choc and Chocolate Sorbet.
Particularly interesting: for the production of her original ice cream compositions, Anna Reckmann uses in particular products that are also used in the production of her noble pâtisserie. For example, she transforms the popular Florentines made of almonds, fine chocolate and honey into a wonderful, icy treat. You can taste that behind the extraordinary compositions, which are handmade on site, there is a know-how about taste nuances, chemistry and pâtisserie knowledge from Paris that has grown over the years.

Whether you want to enjoy the dreamy ice cream flavours yourself or delight friends and family with them: a visit to the pâtisserie boutique is definitely worthwhile!
The current flavours, dates and shop opening times for the Pâtisserie Boutique at Reuterweg 69 can be found at www.annareckmann.de

In addition to various fried potato variations or hearty snacks, the schnitzels are particularly popular. In addition to the in-house Bitburger Krüstchen - a small breaded schnitzel with fried egg on toasted farmhouse bread with coleslaw - the classic Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce and crispy fried potatoes is, of course, not to be missed. Until the last bite, this regional schnitzel variant can be enjoyed in the cozy and stylish ambience of the "Zum Bitburger" - and Monday to Saturday already from 11:30 a.m.

Reserve your table right HERE and enjoy the "Frankfurter Lieblinge", the changing daily specials and of course the freshly tapped beer!

Rubro

Portuguese cuisine can now be enjoyed at Willy-Brandt-Platz. There, where one the cow was allowed to laugh, is now a restaurant of the Portuguese chain Rubro resident - by the way the first outside of Portugal. According to the motto "Grill, wine, be sociable" the restaurant wants to be the place of a pleasurable appointment, where guests can spend enjoyable and simply beautiful hours. In addition to pica-pau, a traditional Portuguese meat dish to pick, and specialties from the grill, the menu also includes "individual treasures" such as Gambas Ajillo, Batatas Bravas (potato wedges with mayonnaise and spicy sauce) or Chèvre (grilled sheep's cheese). Yum!

GO by Steffen Henssler

Already in 2020, TV chef Steffen Henssler brought his sushi concept GO by Steffen Henssler to Frankfurt as a delivery service. Now follows as announced also a permanent restaurant, which was opened in the station district. The delivery service continues, but now guests can also enjoy the entire selection of sushi directly on site. A special highlight in the restaurant, which is divided into two levels, is the open sushi counter, where guests can experience sushi preparation up close. In addition, dishes that are not available from the delivery service are also offered on site.

As a sweet dessert, there is Pastel de Maiz, corn cake with caramel sauce and blueberries. Yum!

Duble Meze Grill

In the past, people met here for soccer and cider, but today Turkish food is on the menu in the premises of the former traditional Backstage pub in Frankfurt's Nordend district. There is no longer any of the old Backstage flair to be felt here. Instead, there is a Mediterranean vacation feeling in the new restaurant and on the terrace. Traditional Turkish dishes with a variety of meze variations underline this atmospheric and very hospitable atmosphere.

Ba Em Sushi Box

The FOODTOPIA on the 4th floor of the MyZeil shopping center will soon get an addition. Ba Em Sushi Box will then offer Vietnamese Banh Mi variations (sandwiches) and sushi specialties. The seasonally varying menu combines New York's East Coast touch with Frankfurt's cosmopolitanism, offering fish and meat as well as more unusual vegetarian dishes.

Even after her time as wine queen, Janine Preis is intensively committed to representing her region and the wine: She is also part of the young winemakers association MainWerk³.

Weingut Peter Flick

Peter Flick, who was one of the "Young Winemakers of the Year" a few years ago, is already the fifth generation to run the family winery in Hochheim am Main. Thereby, he relies on tradition consciousness, combined with innovative ideas and the love for wine. No wonder that "verflickst himmlische" wines are created, which regularly receive awards and top marks for their first-class quality.

Weingut Schreiber

Simon Schreiber was not only able to win first place for the Rheingau region at the "Germany's Best Young Winemakers 2018" competition. He also took the two first places in the category "Riesling dry without wood ageing" and "Experimental wines". Schreiber is also part of MainWerk³, an association of 11 young winemakers whose goal is to put the Upper Rheingau back on the map as a premier growing region.

Weingut Dr. Corvers-Kauter

When it comes to viticulture, the Corvers and Kauter families can look back on a centuries-old winemaking tradition. Together, Philipp Corvers and his father Matthias have managed to ensure that their wines have finally risen to the top ranks not only of Rheingau wines, but have caused a sensation nationwide. The Gault & Millau Wine Guide 2020 not only awarded them the "Discovery of the Year", but also an impressive 4 stars. No question: Wine lovers will certainly hear a lot more about this father-son team.

Weingut im Weinegg

In the Weingut im Weinegg, once a cathedral presence farm and later home to renowned estates such as Aschrott and Künstler, Fabian Schmidt has been making his wines since 2009. Moreover, his farm has been training young people as vintners for some years. On his vineyard, the studied winemaker produces terroir-based wines of special quality, which have earned his winery, among others. a recommendation of the Gault & Millau Weinguide 2020 brought in.

Weingut Egert

Sophie Egert represents the Rheingau and its wine as Rheingau Wine Princess. That this is in her blood is hardly surprising, as her family's winery can look back on an exquisite winemaking tradition that dates back to the 18th century. The vineyards of Weingut Egert are situated in prime locations. Here, mainly Rheingau Riesling top wines are produced. Sophie wants to leave her own mark on the family business and show "how young & dynamic German viticulture is."

Weingut Fritz Allendorf

Ulrich Allendorf runs the largest family-run winery around Winkel, Rüdesheim and Assmannshausen together with his sister Christine Schönleber. Christine's son Max Schönleber works as a cellar master at the winery. After his studies of oenology in Geisenheim and his apprenticeship in renowned wineries, the young winemaker has been contributing his expertise to the family business for about 8 years. Max Schönleber is particularly dedicated to the development of Pinot Noirs, where he can build on his father's experience, but also on his own expertise, which he was able to acquire in the course of his training at the Bernhard Huber winery.

Frankfurter Apfelwein Botschaft

In addition to the cozy dining room, this traditional Frankfurt restaurant in Rödelheim also has a beautiful apple wine garden, which invites you to linger in the summer. Shady trees ensure that it is pleasant here even when it is hotter. Ciders, draft beer and bottled beers such as the popular Wäldches Kirsche + Bier provide additional refreshment. Small and larger appetites can also be satisfied here with salads, tarte flambée, Schneegestöber or Frankfurter Schnitzel and other regional dishes.

To the wheel

The traditional apple wine pub in Frankfurt - Seckbach pleases with its large summer garden. About 350 guests can be entertained in the idyllic ambience under old chestnut trees. Of course, here primarily apple wine comes into the glasses. But various types of beer, such as Schlösser Alt or Allgäuer Büble Edelbräu and Henninger Radler, can also be ordered. And for the little ones there is a separate children's corner.

Niddastrand

You will find an idyllic mixture of beach bar and beer garden with a good portion of holiday feeling in the district Nied, not far from the Nidda. Amidst meadows and trees lies the small sandy beach, where you can enjoy freshly tapped beer, cocktails and other drinks. A little paradise, which can also be rented for private parties like weddings and birthdays, but also for corporate events.

Brauereigasthof "Zur Mainkur"

First and foremost, hearty home cooking is served. If you like it rustic, this is the place for you. It is primarily the various beer specialties from the "Bier-Hannes", which attract a visit to the up to 100 guests beer garden.

Paulaner Platzhirsch am Main

Directly on the banks of the Main, near the Gerbermühle and the Ich monument, is the Platzhirsch restaurant, which opens its large beer garden on the Main in fine weather. Here you can enjoy the view of passing ships and often water sports enthusiasts, while Paulaner beers on tap or from the bottle, various wines, as well as Frankfurt specialties, steak or classics such as Schnitzel or Matjesfilet are served.

Bootshaus Frau Rauscher auf dem Main

The floating beer garden on the Main is located directly at the Eisernen Steg on the Sachsenhausen side. Thus, the boathouse offers a wonderful view of the river and the skyline opposite. Here you can enjoy a variety of bottled and draught beers, apple wine, Frankfurter Kranz liqueur or wines, as well as small hot dishes such as Frankfurter sausages or soups. Coffee, cake and ice cream are of course also available. All this makes the boat house a popular destination not only for tourists.

Old Ship Reporting Office

But even those who like vegetarian food will get their money's worth at eatDoori.

In addition to the restaurant in the Nordend, there are also two other eatDoori branches in Frankfurt: one at Kaiserstraße 55 and one at Foodtopia in MyZeil (4th floor.
